Today was a sunny day of the end of November, after many days of rain and gray weather... 

On the rooftop of the house

Today I recorded my video on the rooftop of the house. A gray, cloudy day, without rain, after four days of rain (and snow over the mountains).

Things seem to be going in the right direction, but it will take time to build a sustainable peace. One step at a time, it will. Refugees are returning to their homes (or what is left of them).

Quietness has made its return... 

Under an umbrella

I recorded my video under an umbrella today, for the third consecutive day of rain.

A good news is that it seems there will be a ceasefire starting tomorrow. It could be the long of a very long nightmare for me. 

Under the rain

Today it rained during most of the day, and the temperatures dropped to 7°C - 13°C on the coast, where I live, which means that at 1000 meters height the temperatures reached 0°C, with ice and snow. 

As a reminder, the tallest mountains reach 3100 meters height.

Picking bananas

Today I showed the garden by the sea, and some bananas I later picked as they started ripening...

A jogging

Today I did a jogging, close to the sea. It's been a very long time I do not jog, even though a few years ago (before taking care of two gardens and family fields), I used to jog almost every day.

I, like the Faerie Princess, clearly have a trauma, and I think it is visible from the way I write this blog, and speak on the videos, in the last two months. Right now, I will not elaborate about that, but one day soon, you will have the opportunity to read more about it, and it is related to the surprise I hinted at. 

Anyway, it's been several years my life is negatively impacted by:

1- the unfairness of what happened with the Faerie Princess in the past, and the harsh / unfair judgements of the persons around her, and in particular of Red-Oak

2- my fear of what is happening right now here, it is as if I unconsciously expected it to happen. Again, I will not elaborate, but you will understand that better soon.

So, doing a jogging was, in this context, a nice opportunity to think of something else. And, when the gardens need watering, it takes a lot of time. Since it's been consistently raining in the last weeks, I can take more time for myself.

Today (22nd of November) is supposed to be the independence national feast, but there was no feast this year.

Patience

A little bit more patience is needed for my surprise to become real, the surprise I announced last week. I will tell you exactly the when, the where and the what, once I know for sure.

Today was the third consecutive day of rain... Since the beginning of this rainstorm, it rained more than 50 mm, which is a rather fair amount.

Yet, this month of November, is till now drier than past Novembers.

Days of rain

Since yesterday, it rained more than 40 mm, and the temperatures dropped...

The rain is good for the garden.

The surprise I mentionned last week will soon become more concrete (in a few days).

Today the sea and the sky resembled to my times in Scheveningen...

On the rooftop of the barnhouse

Today I recorded my video on the rooftop of the barnhouse, to which I built a stairway around two years and a half ago. A rainstorm is coming, with several days of rain, and in particular Monday will be very rainy.

I hope Sinterklaas has well arrived to the Netherlands !

A confirmation

Under the walnut tree

Today I spoke from under the walnut tree.

There was some heavy rain yesterday (Sunday 10th of November: 5 mm), and light rain today (Monday 11th of November: 1 mm). It's not yet enough, but next week end a more serious phase of several consecutive days of rain is coming, with a serious drop in temperatures.

Unearthing some fresh ginger

Today I unearthed some fresh organic ginger. When I do so, I do not unearth the entire tuber, to keep the plants alive, as they livesfrom year to year. 

You can see the fresh ginger from the garden in the picture below. I unearth small quantities each time, so that we can consume it fresh. There are the tubers, and the green leaves. 

I had never seen a ginger plant in my life, before starting planting ginger myself. It is one of the many plants I cultivate, and have made settle in the garden in the last four years.

Let's also as on every day renew our prayer for Peace, here and worldwide. Nothing can be solved with violence, and with anger. Only dialogue, compassion, and respect, can allow understandings to be found. This is valid for nations, and for human beings as well.

I hope that the family and the entourage of the Faerie Princess will hear my words.

Last night, from what I heard, you have witnessed in Amsterdam how violent / disrespectful people behave (from both sides). Six years ago, when I was so harshly judged, I was assimilated to that kind of people, because of the prejudices of Red-Oak, the father of the Faerie Princess, and generally, of all her entourage. You can now clearly see the difference, of how violent / disrespectful people behave, and how I personally behaved all along.

How do I respond to unfairness? With quietness, dialogue, by writing novels and stories, by cultivating a garden in a honest and organic way. In your minds, dear Red-Oak, Green-Rose, Little-Flute, I was like those people. But I am not, and I have nothing to do with either sides. Those who use violence lack education and culture. Those who support those who use violence also do. 

This is not my case, and has never been. 

I am a person of Peace, and I have always been.

The problem is elsewhere, and you must ask the Faerie Princess why she lied..... but I have already explained to you why she did. The fault is yours, you did not give her enough love, attention, safety, security during her childhood, traumatizing her, and making her become a dysfunctional, fearful person, who is so afraid of love and happiness. 

So if you want to be honest, you first and foremost need to do a small mea culpa. And then things will settle for the best, as the Faerie Princess has a golden heart and will surely pardon you, and so I will. But the first step is an admission of your mistakes.

Also, when I said I liked / loved soccer, this does not mean I behave like uneducated soccer fans. Anyway, I've never watched a soccer game in a stadium. In my opinion, someone needs to know how to win with elegance, and also how to lose with elegance. Unfortunately, it is something a lot of people do not know how to do, in soccer, but also in life. 

It's time to recognize your mistake, dear Red-Oak.....

My passion for soccer

Today I was stung by a bee in the garden, on the back of my leg. Despite spending a lot of time in nature, it is only the second time it happens. The first time I was stung by a bee was more than two decades ago, in my childhood.

On another note, I tried to express my passion for soccer and my vision of Peace in an open letter I sent to a digital newspaper in Florence, the town of the soccer club I support, called La Fiorentina, or la Viola, which means violet, the color of the shirts the players wear.  And the newspaper I wrote to decided to publish on their website my open letter, which means hundreds / thousands of persons read it, and a few persons even commented it, with very kind, encouraging and touching words https://www.violanews.com/news-viola/anche-in-libano-si-tifa-fiorentina-la-lettera-di-erik/

As I already expressed I firmly believe in peace, and the power of plants / learning to plant and to speak the language of plants in order to reach that inner and outer peace. But sports can also be helpful. You will understand better what I mean by reading the letter I wrote, on the above link.

I have several aims by doing so: it is a way to express myself, my pain, my sadness and my hopes; it is a way to relate with other people; it is a way to get known as a writer and novelist who will hopefully be published soon; and it is a way to show the entourage of the Faerie Princess my capacity to touch others with my words. The staff and readers of violanews, the newspaper that republished me, do not know me in person, and I live in a faraway country that is not very well-known. Yet, my words touched them, and they did not hesitate to immediately trust me.

After the rain

It rained around 5 mm on Saturday 2nd, 20 mm on Sunday 3rd, and less than 1 mm on Monday 4th, for a total of around 25 mm which is enough to water the fields, and end the drought for now. More rain is forecasted in one week from now.

This rainfall certainly helps my work in the garden.

In front of the sea

Today, I recorded a video in the garden by the sea that belongs to my grandparents, but also three short videos directly in front of the sea, as there was a rainstorm that was getting closer. It rained well in the last two days, which was really positive for the land.

Seeing those dark clouds and feeling the wind reminded me of a similar moment in Scheveningen (Den Haag) where I had witnessed a similar rainstorm, on a very special day for the Faerie Princess (Annelies Broeders) and I - the 27th of February 2017.

Today I sowed by new raised bed, planting it. The video is taken in the evening, as days are getting shorter, and I did not have the opportunity to do it earlier.

The piece of garden I created from scratch

Today I spoke from the piece of garden I created from scratch in front of the barnhouse. That place has become quite productive. 

And this is a picture of my new raised bed, almost finished. When planting in a shaded garden, building such raised beds can allow to cultivate crops with much better results.
