Today I spoke from the rooftop of the barnhouse. This evening we had the first snow flurries in Amchit, that for now, melted. But there is a heavy snow storm on the mountains and all the inner part of the country. That means that 80% of Lebanon is covered by a thick mantle of snow. And this is normal. We get a lot of snow every winter.
But the coast, usually, does not get snow. This time, temperatures will drop to such a level that if there are precipitations, it will probably snow. The temperature now is around 2°C or 3°C here in Amchit. But it is -5°C, -10°C and even -20°C over the inner part of the country and the highest mountains.
