While walking in the garden...
Annelies Broeders, in The Ballad of Finuë, pictured herself as Finuë (the Elf) and me as Harganith (the Dwarf), singing of the iron grip of Harganith, of his steely resolve.
This is me. When I know and I feel that something is right, I never give up. I am an extremely peaceful, kind and compassionate person, but, I seek the truth, and I seek what is right.
What happened on the 13th of September 2018 is wrong, deeply wrong.
And it will be corrected.
And I will use my own tools to correct that.
Red-Oak is more scared of me, than I am of him I believe. He is an Earl who knows he broke the Earldom's Law twice, in his story with me. That is something very grave for an Earl. And the Earl is fine, as long as the criticism of his acts is expressed on blogs. What the Earl absolutely wants to avoid is that what he did becomes a "State affair".
So yes, the blogs are annoying and stressful for the Earl, but not only he can't do anything against them, but on top of that, he'd rather remain silent and discreet rather than risking a confrontation on his own ground.
Because, after all, we've seen trials made, and won, for very silly causes, such as the person who bought a coffee that was too warm at Starbucks in the USA and then made a trial against Starbucks. There are many silly examples of this case.
What would prevent the Prince to hold the Earl accountable for how he lied to the Earldom's State, breaking two laws at least, and ruining his life. And, what would prevent the Princess to rise again, and to directly confront the Earl saying that he ruined her childhood and her life with his harsh egoism and unforgiveness.
It would be a first, but it not written that such stories cannot win, or at least greatly damage the Earl's reputation.
This is the reason for which the Earl has not opened his mouth till now. He suspects the loyalty of the Princess is not from his side. He knows the Prince is a very surprising character. Anyway, if the Princess wished, she could have in one click closed all the blogs.
But she didn't.
Therefore the Princess - Annelies Broeders - until the proof of the contrary, seems in agreement with all what is written and said on this blog, and on all the others.
In fact, the Earl trapped himself by wronging me six years ago. What he did is like a dark cloud looming over his head. The last thing the Earl wants is to make that cloud burst. For him, it's better to observe, to read, to think, without doing anything.
And at the end, the Earl - Red-Oak - is a human being and a father. He also tries to understand what pushed his daughter to act in this way, and whether or not the Prince deserves his daughter's hand. The Earl wants to know, for intellectual curiosity, but also out of concern.
And at the end, the Earl will do what is right. Because, the Earl, underneath the ice, has a good heart.
