Today I recorded my video on the rooftop of the house, on a mostly sunny day.
I kept my video short as I want you, dear Red-Oak, to focus on the video I sent you yesterday where my parents appear. Watch it, and watch it again.
And do not ever dare to think this story is over, Red-Oak. What you did to Annelies in her childhood is unacceptable. Your current lack of comprehension toward her is also unacceptable.
And you are going to hear me, Red-Oak. For now, I've been kind and compassionate, and have pitied you, and I am still pitying you. But remember that this is not over, and that pity has limits. Annelies will obtain justice over her broken childhood. And you will have to hear, even if that implies being a little less nice.
And even if for you this sounds absurd: how can a child, after becoming an adult, ask for justice without having a law in her favor? Laws are made to change. Human beings are more important than laws. And you know nothing of Annelies if you think, dear Red-Oak, that she will admit defeat.
She is going to change and twist the law (even at the cost of writing a book, or a series a book about it) till when people and society take conscience that what she lived was not alright, and that a revision of the law so dear to your heart Red-Oak is necessary. A law that allowed you to wash your conscience, as each human being knows deep down what is right and what is not. When the law allows us to do what feels wrong deep inside of us, then it is a wrong law.
