ReplyDeleteDear Ellen, thank you for your comment, and this is an interesting question, especially for the family of the Princess, who is not familiar with the local culture. So I will respond in detail to it. Yesterday (on Saturday lunch) I was with more family members (my parents, my brother, my grandfather, uncles, etc.) and on such occasions it is a great aunt that cooks for us all, some parts of the meal at least. My father prepared the drink, a campari. Then for lunch there was long rice with a bit of grilled onion, green beans with a bit of tomato sauce, kaftas - it's the name of small pieces of grilled meat, but it's a mixture of meat (50%), grinded wheat (50%), and aromatic herbs-, then several kinds of salads (radishes, sweet cabbage, etc.), avocado (from a family garden), the daily salad I pick (a season mixture), and several kinds of fruits (the first mulberries and medlar fruits from a family garden), local apples, oranges and bananas. Afterwards, a dark coffee (I like it without sugar), and some chocolate and biscuits with anis seeds...
