We live at 5 - 7 minutes of walk from the sea. So the sea is a constant landscape in our life. We even have the port of Amchit nearby, with a public beach that is protected by the stone reef.
One of the websites I use to check the sea conditions is called Windy: https://www.windy.com/34.138/35.644/ecmwfWaves/waves?waves,34.126,35.644,14
I've provided you with the exact location of where we are (the map is zoomed on Amchit).
So Windy gives the height of waves, the swell, and the period between waves.
I've also checked at Scheveningen in the Netherlands, but in the next seven days, the sea will be stronger in Amchit than in Scheveningen, meaning that we have more wind (or that the wind is oriented in a way that it favors waves formation).
And, to know what kind of sea is swimmable or not, I've asked "chatgpt" to make a small summary. In Amchit, most of the shoreline has open sea conditions, which means that the sea, especially in the winter, can get very rough. Inside the port, however, the public beach is open from May till November, and generally it is sheltered enough to swim (even though when the sea gets very rough, it becomes impossible to swim even there).
The place where I swim and film / photograph myself close to the sea (in front of the garden by the sea of my grandparents) is at 1 km from the port, so it's not sheltered. It's open sea with pebbles / rock beaches.
